Dual Enrollment

Southmoreland High School is partnered once again with Mount Aloysius College to offer College in the High School (CHS) courses for the 2024-2025 school year. Southmoreland High School faculty teach the course at the high school level after going through a rigorous approval process from Mount Aloysius College. The course is listed on a student's high school transcript along with the high school credit. A college transcript will need to be ordered directly from Mount Aloysius College and shared with your prospective colleges.

Benefits of Purchasing College in High School Courses:

  • Save money - Current cost of a Mount Aloysius College CHS credit is $69 per credit as compared to $940 per credit if a current undergraduate student
  • Save time - earn credits before you start college and reduce the amount of time spent in college
  • Earn college credit - CHS credits can be applied towards a Mount Aloysius degree or may be transferable to other colleges and universities; students are responsible for determining if the college/ university in which they are interested in attending accepts the credits and how they accept them

NOTE: Courses can only be purchased during this window. Courses can not be purchased later in the school year or in another school year, retroactively.

ENROLLMENT WINDOW: NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 7, 2024
